Psalm 44 [4]
44:2 My heart hath uttered a good word; * I speak my works to the King.
44:2 My tongue is the pen of a scrivener * that writeth swiftly.
44:3 Thou art beautiful above the sons of men: grace is poured abroad in thy lips; * therefore hath God blessed thee for ever.
44:4 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, * O thou most mighty.
44:5 With thy comeliness and thy beauty * set out, proceed prosperously, and reign.
44:5 Because of truth and meekness and justice: * and thy right hand shall conduct thee wonderfully.
44:6 Thy arrows are sharp: under thee shall people fall, * into the hearts of the king’s enemies.
44:7 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: * the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of uprightness.
44:8 Thou hast loved justice, and hated iniquity: * therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
44:9 Myrrh and stacte and cassia perfume thy garments, from the ivory houses: * out of which the daughters of kings have delighted thee in thy glory.
44:10 The queen stood on thy right hand, in gilded clothing; * surrounded with variety.
44:11 Hearken, O daughter, and see, and incline thy ear: * and forget thy people and thy father’s house.
44:12 And the king shall greatly desire thy beauty; * for he is the Lord thy God, and him they shall adore.
44:13 And the daughters of Tyre with gifts, * yea, all the rich among the people, shall entreat thy countenance.
44:14 All the glory of the king’s daughter is within, * in golden borders, clothed round about with varieties.
44:15 After her shall virgins be brought to the king: * her neighbours shall be brought to thee.
44:16 They shall be brought with gladness and rejoicing: * they shall be brought into the temple of the king.
44:17 Instead of thy fathers, sons are born to thee: * thou shalt make them princes over all the earth.
44:18 They shall remember thy name * throughout all generations.
44:18 Therefore shall people praise thee for ever; yea, * for ever and ever.

Psalm 45 [5]
45:2 Our God is our refuge and strength: * a helper in troubles, which have found us exceedingly.
45:3 Therefore we will not fear, when the earth shall be troubled; * and the mountains shall be removed into the heart of the sea.
45:4 Their waters roared and were troubled: * the mountains were troubled with his strength.
45:5 The stream of the river maketh the city of God joyful: * the most High hath sanctified his own tabernacle.
45:6 God is in the midst thereof, it shall not be moved: * God will help it in the morning early.
45:7 Nations were troubled, and kingdoms were bowed down: * he uttered his voice, the earth trembled.
45:8 The Lord of armies is with us: * the God of Jacob is our protector.
45:9 Come and behold ye the works of the Lord: what wonders he hath done upon earth, * making wars to cease even to the end of the earth.
45:10 He shall destroy the bow, and break the weapons: * and the shield he shall burn in the fire.
45:11 Be still and see that I am God; * I will be exalted among the nations, and I will be exalted in the earth.

Psalm 86 [6]
86:1 The foundations thereof are in the holy mountains: * The Lord loveth the gates of Sion above all the tabernacles of Jacob.
86:3 Glorious things are said of thee, * O city of God.
86:4 I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon * knowing me.
86:4 Behold the foreigners, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians, * these were there.
86:5 Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? * and the Highest himself hath founded her.
86:6 The Lord shall tell in his writings of peoples and of princes, * of them that have been in her.
86:7 The dwelling in thee * is as it were of all rejoicing.

Our Father, with the Lessons
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
V. And lead us not into temptation:
R. But deliver us from evil.

Lesson I, Canticle 3:6
Who is she that goeth up by the desert, as a pillar of smoke of aromatical spices, of myrrh, and frankincense, and of all the powders of the perfumer?  Thou art all fair, O my love, and there is not a spot in thee. My sister, my spouse, is a garden enclosed, a garden enclosed, a fountain sealed up.
R. Thanks be to God.
R. O holy and immaculate virginity, with what praises I shall extol thee, I know not: * For he whom the heavens could not contain rested in thy bosom.  

V.  Blessed art thou among: women, and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb. * For he whom the heavens could not contain rested in thy bosom.

Lesson II, Ecclesiasticus 24:22
I have stretched out my branches as the turpentine tree, and my branches are of honour and grace. As the vine I have brought forth a pleasant odour: and my flowers are the fruit of honour and riches. I am the mother of fair love, and of fear, and of knowledge, and of holy hope. In me is all grace of the way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and of virtue.
R. Thanks be to God.
R. Blessed art thou, O Virgin Mary, who didst bear the Lord, the Creator of the world:* Thou wast the mother of him who made thee, and thou remainest a virgin forever.
V. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. * Thou wast the mother of him who made thee, and thou remainest a virgin forever.
V. Grant, Lord, a blessing.

Lesson III, Ecclesiasticus 24:26
Come over to me, all ye that desire me, and be filled with my fruits. For my spirit is sweet above honey, and my inheritance above honey and the honeycomb. My memory is unto everlasting generations. They that eat me, shall yet hunger: and they that drink me, shall yet thirst. He that hearkeneth to me, shall not be confounded: and they that work by me, shall not sin. They that explain me shall have life everlasting. R. Thanks be to God.
R. Surely thou art happy, O holy Virgin Mary, and most worthy of all praise : * For out of thee arose the sun of justice,* Christ our God.

V. Pray for the people, mediate for the clergy, intercede for the devoted female sex. Let all experience thine assistance, whoever celebrate thy holy commemoration. For out of thee arose the sun of justice,* Christ our God.

When in the Office of the day from the Nativity to Septuagesima, and from Easter to Advent, the Te Deum is said, it is also said in this Office; and when it is not said in the Office of the day, neither is it said here. But in Advent, and from Septuagesima Sunday to Easter, Te Deum is not said, even though, it be said in the Divine Office of the day.

By those, however, who recite the Little Office solely out of devotion, whether clerical or lay, the Te Deum is said on the Feasts of the Immaculate Conception, the Expectation of the B. V., and on the Feast of the Purification., if the Office of those Feasts be recited; otherwise on the days to which they are transferred.
When Te Deum is not said, then the R. Thou art truly happy, &c, to the V. , is said after the third repetition of Because out of thee, &c.

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

We praise thee, O God, * we acknowledge thee to be the Lord.

Thou sittest at the right hand of God, * in the glory of the Father.
We believe that thou shalt come * to be our Judge.
Kneel for the following verse
We therefore pray thee, help thy servants, * whom thou hast redeemed with thy precious Blood.
Make them to be numbered with thy Saints, * in glory everlasting.
O Lord, save thy people, * and bless thine heritage.
Govern them, * and lift them up for ever.
Day by day * we magnify thee;
During the following verse, by local custom, all make a profound bow.

O glorious Mother of God, Mary ever-virgin, who alone hast merited to bear the Lord of all things, and to nourish from thy virginal breast the King of Angels, remember us graciously, we beseech thee, and ever intercede for us with Christ; that, supported by thy patronage, we may deserve to arrive at the Kingdom of Heaven.
Prayer
V. O Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry come unto thee.
Let us pray.
O God, Who didst will that thy word should, by the message of an Angel, take flesh in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary, grant unto us, we beseech thee, that all we who do believe her to be in very deed the Mother of God, may be helped by her prayers in thy sight.
Through the same Jesus Christ, thy Son, Our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end.
R. Amen.
Ant. O Virgin Mary, there hath not in the world, amongst women, one arisen like unto thee; blooming as the rose, fragrant as the lily: pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
V. Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O sacred Virgin.
R. Give me strength against thy enemies.

We beseech thee, O Lord, that the august intercession of the blessed and ever-glorious Virgin Mary may protect us, and conduct us to eternal life. Through Christ our Lord.
